There is one of such species on service 69 and I hate her for publicly humiliating me in P3 when I dropped 20 instead of 25 cents into the cash box. Yes I intended to cheat because I've earlier on dropped the 5 cent coin into a drain and was afraid to get another from my Dad, then a pretty fierce fellow. She shouted at me and announced my cheat feat to the whole bus. Today I still remember her ugly face.
That termagant (I love this word!) aside, I see more and more female bus drivers recently and some are actually pretty. They just give you the drive. I saw pretty ones on Services 52 and 960 and wonder why they chose to be bus drivers instead of, say, This Fashion salesgirls. Still, it's refreshing to be greeted by good-lookers onboard buses.
Qing Ming is coming and I hope that 69 termagant gets deployed to drive the cemetery service 405. Far far away so she doesn't spoil my days.

I know it's embarrassing but I need to announce I just went JB for the first time! Stop sniggering, those who go there every other weekend. No particular highlights, only that I was awed by the karaoke chain there by the name of Neway. Weekend package RM 22 per person. 1pm to 7pm. Inclusive of 2 drinks, of which you can exchange 1 for main course like hor fun/ebi-don/nuggets. Cordless mikes. Mike cover for every new patron. Songs you can't find at K Box. Classy interior design. Impressed? Find it at Level 5 City Square!

Weird people are all around. I guess some people would find me weird too, especially those who happened to see me smiling at myself, singing while I walk, cleaning my mouth with soup and taking a bus to Tuas.
Bus. Service 5 rocks totally! Though I notice there is a significant proportion of senior citizens taking the bus from Bedok and Tampines. I suspect they are headed to Tiong Bahru and Bukit Merah to find their kampong neighbours and childhood flings! Not forgetting the well-informed foreign workers who get rocketed from their Kaki Bukit dormitories to the heart of town. Service 5 benefits everyone!
It's heartening to see the local media showing so much support for Sun Yanzi. Check out this week's I-weekly magazine and today's ST Life! I really hope she can successfully dethrone who's first on G-Music Billboard now. Heh.

I read Chinkeat's blog and found out Miss Chan Bee Bee, the ex-HOD Maths of Dunman High has passed away on 2 March from colon cancer. It's a late finding and I'm shocked and saddened. She has never taught me but I could easily connect with her whenever she gave speeches to our batch. I happened to meet her on bus 30 on some mornings and she would initiate conversations with me, sharing her worries over our results, asking me which JC I'm aiming for, just like a friend. I see her more as a Dunman senior, whom she is, than a teacher.
Miss Chan, you'll be dearly missed.
Her students Vivi, Kane, Chinkeat, Yanfang and NuaH write about her in their blogs.

Yes I've preordered "Against The Light"! The single is a motivating song and whenever I hear it I picture myself singing it on top of a mountain with the surrounding winds blowing at my hair. Yeah. 1612 is so going to be the winning number this week because I'm buying it for 4D - it's my Pig Year's resolution to diligently buy 4D weekly. You understand I'm poor and poor people need lots of hope in life and thus I'm ignoring Chengxiang's calculations on returns on 4D. Against the light indeed.

I reckon I had countless middle fingers pointed at me throughout the camp because I wasn't nice to any one of them. Grrr. There was zero motivation to make friends with them and their conduct makes me want to spout elitist remarks under my breath (which I did). This camp made me realise I miss staying overnight in schools - being able to own the compound and constantly in good company. The 3 days seemed like forever. But now it's over, I look forward to the next camp. I promise a better performance by my group then.

My friend Junyi got into Top 11 of Round 5 of this blogging contest! Can do him a favour by voting for him here? It won't take you more than a minute. Please.....

And the money earned will presumably be used to buy contact lenses. Sigh, I lost my left contact lens yesterday. And that's one of the worst things to lose because it's so difficult to find! Plus, I have to put on that black army specs now whenever I'm awake. I look horrid for a civilian.
The 20000th visitor is expected to arrive when I'm at the camp so if you are the one just kindly leave your name on the tagboard! You'll enjoy a dinner date with me. I'm serious.

Some of you may know I'm into buses. Not an avid fan like Kaiguan, but new services and models do excite me as much as Yanzi's new album. I've been joyriding on the Boon Lay industrial services lately and it kind of felt like travelling overseas.
Anyway this bus service 5 has an express sector starting after Novena MRT and it comes out at Eunos Link. The only stop at Tampines is the one in front of SAFRA but it's enough for me. Finally, an alternative service from Tampines to town besides Express 518! It can get me to French class as well as to, erh, Tiong Bahru?
I always like to think that bus services have ranks and none of the new services recently seemed to have performed well enough to be promoted to the rank of "double-decker". But 5, I have faith in you.

Angela Zhang Showcase @ Dragonfly [St James Power Station]

I won entry tickets from U-Weekly! Boy can she sing. And she threw posters, of which one landed right in front of me but alas, got snatched away by a pathetic Chinese geek. Grrr. On a sidenote, the emcee was Weibin from YES 933 and I've utterly no confidence in her taking the morning shift come next next week. She's not funny like Mary and not witty like Liyi; how to brighten up people's mornings?

Darn! My sister's got a freaking 4As and A2 for GP. So she's successfully thrashed me by 4 marks in PSLE, 1 point in 'O' Levels, and 2 As in 'A' Levels. Bah! But wait, you see, I'm on par with her for Economics, Mathematics and General Paper. Physics and Chemistry I didn't take so it's unfair to count them for comparison. Conclusion = She's not smarter than me.
I'm jealous alright. Then again, I'd rather my younger sibling to be academically stronger than me. I'd feel guilty if my parents pressure my dumber sibling by comparing him/her with me. And I'd be frustrated if he/she keeps asking me questions or if I need to constantly remind him/her to study. During her 'A' Levels, my sister didn't bother me with questions (not that I can help her) and I too, can't be bothered by her.
Besides, if my younger sibling is dumber than me, it'd be worrying.
