Grad Trip Day 18 - Vang Vieng

The centre invited us to witness the opening of a new school building in Vieng Samay. The ceremony lasted the entire morning.

At the end of the ceremony, village elders started to tie white strings around the wrists of all the foreign guests in the crowd. As they tied the strings, they would be saying all their wishes for you. I am thankful to receive all these blessings, though it could get overwhelming at certain moments.

The team had a tour around an organic farm in the village in the afternoon, and held a long discussion at night about all the organisations we have touched base with for this trip, and we will be doing next.
